History of POAYS

The “Pan-Hellenic Federation of Motorists for Intercity Transportation (POAYS)” was founded in 1935 as a second grade union, under the Decision 5249/35 of the Court of First Instance of Athens.

The goal of the Federation is to guard, take care of and promote the common financial, social and professional interests of its members, within the frames of public service.

Members of the Federation are the Associations and Unions of the Owners of Intercity Buses, as well as the 62 KTEL S.A. and KTEL Companies of the country, after the amendment of the statute.

The Federation is an active member of the General Confederation of Professional Vehicle Owners of Greece (Γ.Σ.Ε.Α.Ε.).
